I was born on February 14, 1976 in Fon du Lac, Wisconsin.  My birth mother was only nineteen years old and did not feel that she could adequately rear me.  Some may say, "How horrible for a mother to give up her baby for adoption." BUT GOD, had other plans for my life.

For three years, Peter and Sharon Merhalski had been praying for a daughter and it seemed that God was not answering their prayers. BUT GOD, in His perfect timing had just the right little girl for them.

I was placed in a foster home with dear people, Dan & Diane Fels, who took excellent care of me until the time came for someone to adopt me. The paperwork for the adoption was taking a long time and Peter and Sharon were getting anxious.  BUT GOD, allowed me to stay in that foster home with the Fels long enough for me to be an important part of their life.  One day the relationship with the Fels would get close enough so that one day they would attend my wedding and accept the Lord as their Saviour.

In September of 1976 I came to live with my mommy and daddy, Peter and Sharon Merhalski.  They treated me as flesh of their flesh.  Most of the time my daddy treated me better than that!  From the day I came to live with them until now, I have never missed a church service except for illness or a deserved spanking for misbehaving in church!  When I was three years old my family moved to Maine and we had a happy four years there.  BUT GOD, chose to move us back to Wisconsin and be near my grandfather and grandmother.   Soon after that move, my grandfather accepted the Lord as His Saviour and it was evident that God had planned our move for us.
