Love is not known until it is shown,
And it is revived through giving;
Love is not felt until cold hearts melt,
Then it brings joy to the living.

Love is a force that will run its course,
Only when hard hearts are tender;
Love is the emotion which animates a notion,
And brings great joy to its sender.

Love is the season which salts all reason,
And allows us to be what we’re not;
Love is the magic that bewilders the tragic,
And turns us from lukewarm to hot!

Love is the art that burdens the heart,
To give the Gospel to the poor;
Love is the ray that lightens our way,
It’s the Truth, the Life, and the Door.

Love is the feeling that sets my heart reeling,
And burns in my soul to tell;
Love is the joy that motivates this boy,
To keep lost souls out of hell.

Love is the seed that defeats all greed,
And leads us into Heavenly realm;
Love is that food that refines the crude,
And steers our ship with its helm.

Love is the seed that births the deed,
And compels us to do what we can;
Love is the action that demands satisfaction,
And thanks those who give unto man!
