We are 226 years old and about right for the milage. Over the last decade we’ve seen homosexuals come out of the closet and put in the cabinet, the post popular Jones have been Paula Jones and the Dow Jones, we’ve saved the whales and killed the babies, we’ve clowned with cloning in the name of humanity, and quelled conviction on the name of harmony. American has been focused on the Right and the Left, without any regard to the Right and the Wrong.

We have gone to every possible measure to ensure that we never deprive the depraved from the freedom to wallow in wickedness, and moral failure, even at the expense of those who desire to do otherwise. We must ensure that people have the right to embrace their depravity freely without any opposing voices of conviction.

We have been told that "It takes a Village" while the Bible says "It takes a Family", to raise our kids. We have come to the point that the highest moral virtue is "tolerence", and the worst possible sin is to call sin, sin.

We have been told that the "trump all issues vote" is a good economy, while voting based on "morality" is being narrow minded. Our culture does not have a God that accepts "sinners" they have a god that accepts "sin", and any other God is evil and must be silenced.

The fact that our culture has fallen from it’s early faith and left it’s first love. I could spend time writing about the fact that God’s Word is not written to Mountain View, but to Mankind of every race, in every place for every reason, but I won’t. The truth of the matter is, however, that none of these problems are the problem. The Democrats are no more the problem than the Republicans are the solution. These issues are merely symptoms of the problem.

The problem is not political, but spiritual. A lost heart has a blind mind, and legislation is not the light of day, Jesus is. Yes, legislation is a reflection of somebody’s social morality, but their social morality is a reflection of their spiritual maturity. If they are as lost as a goose in the tropics, they have no spiritual maturity and their morality will reflect that. If we are to have a Christian culture and country it must happen on Calvary’s Hill, before it will ever happen at Capitol Hill. The answer is not taking the Cross to Congress, but taking Congress to the Cross.

I have heard many people speak of the Semptember 11^th attacks as God’s call to repentance for our country, and I stand in strong disagreement. Yes, He very well could have used it in getting our attention, but the truth is that Jesus has been calling us to repentance for two thousand years. He has been calling this nation to repentance every Sunday from the faithful pulpits coast to coast, from every faithful radio program, or T.V. program, from every faithul person who shares the fact of Jesus, and their faith in Jesus.

We live in a nation whose legislation allows us to freely practice our faith by sharing the facts. Yes, there is a danger of loosing choosing that comes about when the "immoral" have the authority and ability to bind the "moral". Because of this, I do believe the children of God, should take their moral and spiritual convictions to the lawmaking bodies of our country, and use them in legislation. That’s not just my opinion that’s a Biblical mandate. I don’t believe, however that legislation is the ultimate answer for our cultural problems, I believe Jesus is. The only cure for a Blind Mind is a Holy Heart.

We are an Independent nation, full of Independent people, who need to learn to be Dependent upon the God who made us.

Two hundred and twenty-six years ago, this wonderful and glorious nation was born. If the culture in this nation is ever going to turn around, it must be born again. We celebrate our independence day with pride in the fact that we freely worship our God, and practice our faith in JesusChrist. Our God has given us a nation to care for, live for, and if necessary die for. I believe the most powerful way to change our culture and our nation is found in God’s Great Grace toward America. Change by God’s grace happens when we thank Him for it, and tell others about it. Have a healthy, holy, happy, holiday of freedom.
