I am a baby-boomer so terms used in my younger days have changed. I grew up hearing the phrase, "Boy is she sore!" It was understood that the phrase meant that someone was one of the above descriptive words and was letting others know it by her actions, attitude, or words! SORE---in the Webster's Dictionary means: After writing all of these definitions down I sat and considered the list for a long time. I saw myself in many situations and at many times in my life. A sore can be painful and irritating to us and it can also be painful and irritating to others that have to live with us. I also considered the reality that most of the sore spots in my life were given little consideration as being problems that needed fixing. Oh, many, and most of them, God did fix mend and heal. However, much of the healing was done against my will-not with my wanting it or yielding to it easily. (From years of counseling women I know that I am not the only one who will relate to this paragraph. ) The day that I taught this lesson I had a friend wear many band aids to the Bible Study. I asked her to write a 'sore' spot on each one. When she walked in she did not have to announce that she was my object lesson for the day! I will come back to this in a little while. Does God only want to heal the big gaping root bound hurts in our lives? Was Jesus only sent to heal major diseases, broken bones, cancer, damaged emotions, drug abuse the accepted "BIG" problems in our lives? No. Luk 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
