Immanuel: [God with us] (Matthew 1:23): God's desire is to be with us, and so the Son of God joined Himself to a human body, so that we would dwell with Him forever.

Immanuel: He is El - The Strongest One, the Mightiest of All, who is present, with us. The same God who was with us in the garden of Eden who walked with us in the cool of the day, the same one who was with us in Egypt, with us in the burning bush, with us in the pillar of cloud, with us in the mishkan...with us on Mount Sinai, with us when He wrestled with Jacob.

The Son of God left the glories of Heaven and came to Earth. He took on a human body, and was born to a lovely Jewish woman. He became incarnate, which means He took on a body, became flesh, and dwelt among us. He is truly Immanuel, God with us, the fullness of God's desire to be with us, and dwell among us. If God’s glorious Dwelling Presence could dwell with us in the Mishkan, a building of gold, silver, cloth, wood, can’t He dwell with us in a human being, a human body, alive, and made in His image?

Messiah Yeshua is the true Temple of God, the place where God dwells in this world. Destroy this Temple, He told a group of Jewish leaders, and in three days I will raise it up... and He was speaking of the Temple of His body.
