JEHOVAH==OUR SELF-EXISTENT ONE WHO IS THE ESSENCE OF LIFE

He always was, He is and HE will ALWAYS be the same...yesterday, today and forever.  God has NEVER failed yet!

"The essence of God’s being is more than to be self-contained as the Self-Existent One.  As Jehovah His desire is to meet the needs of those He has created in His own Image.  To be beyond Himself is part of His character and as we take on His character---as we grow in Him---we reach out beyond ourselves to show others Who God is."

"That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most High over all the earth."  Psalm 83:18

"Among ALL THE NAMES of God perhaps the most comprehensive is the name Jehovah.  Cruden describes this name as the incommunicable name of God.  The word Jehovah means the self-existing One, the "I am"; and it is generally used as a direct revelation of what god is.  In several places an eplainatory word is added, revealing some one of His special characteristics; and is toi these that I want particularly to call attention. i.e.

Jehovah-Jireh---The LORD Will Provide

Jehovah-Nissi---The LORD My Banner

Jehovah-Mekkodishkem---The LORD Who Sanctifies You

These names were discovered by God’s people in times of sore need; that is, the characteristics they describe were discovered, and the names were the natural expression of these characteristics."

When the name Jehovah is compounded with names describing His character extended outward---we find a very personal, loving and serving God.

JEHOVAH-JIREH===THE LORD WILL PROVIDE

 Jehovah=the Self-Existent one   +   Jireh=See

God sees, He provides, because He is the Self-Existent one who sees and because He sees He will provide.

Hebrews 11:17-19  "By faith Abraham, when he was tried..."  Faith is NOT faith until it is tested.  And what God asks of us He Provides thorough Christ Who is OUR Sacrifice---Our Lamb without blemish.  God SHALL supply all our needs ACCORDING TO HIS RICHES IN CHRIST---Not according to our riches!

AND there is nothing God does not own SO there is nothing He cannot supply!

Phillippians 4:19  The lamb that was provided to take Isaac’s place was a type of Jesus Christ...and through Christ Who is our sacrifice---our Lamb without blemish---God SHALL supply ALL our needs...ACCORDING TO HIS RICHES---NOT OURS!!!
