When I think of a princess I think of the English Royalty in the last century: How did a princess act? How did she carry hereself? Did she not get her --assured presence" from the fact that she is a member of the royal court? What was her dimeanor? She was modest, gentle, quiet and humble with all of the assurance of her position in life. She had humble assurance based in truth and her heart and her mind were prepared to do all of the king’s bidding. How much more should we carry ourselves like a princess in England? Our position is for eternity, not just for this lifetime. We should have more of an --assured presence before the world"...for our Father owns it all! Daughter of the King of Kings: Psalm 10:16a----The Lord is king for ever and ever:" Psalm 74:12a----For God is my King of old," I Timothy 1:17----Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen." I Timothy 6:15----Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of Lords;" Revelation 1:5-6----And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen." Child of God (emphasis in bold-type is mine) Romans 8:15-17----For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together." Romans 9:7-8----Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed." Romans 9:26----And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God." Galatians 4:28----Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise." It does not show the world the power and enablement of God by displaying false humility and weakness. Who would want to be saved to become weak and not very good at anything? As women all we need to do is study the Proverbs 31 woman. She did not show false humility to look godly. In God she was able to do all that was required of her--and do it all well. The key is "IN GOD"....in ourselves we are nothing. --Many people...believe in a God who takes sin seriously, who has reminded mankind of moral failure, but they stop there. Keenly aware of inadequacy, they live in the slough of despond--worthless, sinful, guilty. They find no comfort in God for their lack of self-acceptance. His verdict only confirms what they already believe about themselves. They may say they believe their sins can be forgive, but (to them) God’s love is conditional. It is based on an if. ‘IF-love’ allows people to experience little freedom from their feeling of inadequacy. They are more conscious of themselves than of God.... Phillip Brooks once said, --The true way to be humble is not to stoop until you are smaller than yourself, but to stand at your real height against some higher nature that will show you what the real smallness of your greatness is." I like that. It is true to the teaching of the Bible. God has declared our value, our personal worth. He created us with our present genes; He can redeem all of the experiences that make our life. So stand up tall; give Him all that you are. We do not need to fuss over ourselves. Boasting is excluded when one is in proper relationship with God.
