The Pronoun Family

"Her" and "She" two sisters be,
Of the grammar clan, Pronoun family.
"Us" and "we" two brothers be,
by the Pronoun family tree.

"Her" and "She" had a brother "He",
Together were a family three;
Now "us" loved "Her" and "We" loved "She",
But neither one was loved by "He".

So, marriage took place, a time of glee,
For "Us" and "Her" and "we" and "She."
"Us" and "Her" soon had little "Me,"
While "We" and "She" had little "Tee"!
(He was an odd one in the family lot,
For in Pronoun family, he found no spot;
Though hard he tried in it to fit,
He had to change his name to "It".)

"He" grew into "Him" a fine young man,
and he was known throughout the land;
"He" met "Our" their love was sweet,
They soon had "They" and "Them"-family complete.

Twins "Our" bore to "Him" it seems,
And along came "Their" the dream of dreams;
"It makes no sense" said little "Me",
But that's life in the Pronoun family tree.

Oh, lest I forget, "Them" met "I"
And bore a little "You" and "Your";
That puts "you" and "Me" in the famil-y;
Right in the Grammars, Pronoun tree.

So "I" loves "You" and "You" loves "Me"
Together we dwell in Pronoun family free.
Uncle "His" and aunty "My"
Love "Me" and "You" and "We" and "I".
