EVANGELISM TEAM

With the weather turning cold, outdoor meetings have for the most part concluded.  Brother Jerry, Petru and Florin have held several meetings using the Jesus film.  Though I’m reporting the "Jesus Film" ministry in the Evangelism team section of my own report, I want to give credit where it’s due and I can’t take credit for this ministry.  This is a ministry of Brother jerry, Petru and Florin.  They’ve used it effectively and have proven it to be a good way to reach many people.  The movie is always followed by a good gospel sermon and any who respond are personally witnessed to.  In just three meetings several hundred people have heard sound gospel preaching and there have been several professions of faith.  Brother Liviu has planned to hold an evangelism meeting in Feldiora in October.

FULL HOUSE (Casa Plina) and LITTLE FLOCK (Mica Turma)

When we began "Little Flock" we weren’t sure if we could be able to continue it after the school year began.  Attendance has been very inconsistent the last few weeks.  We’re not sure how many of these village kids go to school .  For several meetings only a few or no children attended but the last meeting in September several did come.  It’s still hard to say whether it can continue.  We will hold the meetings for the next few weeks and try to determine whether it can continue or will have to be just a summer time ministry.

Meanwhile, "Full House" attendance has remained steady and we’ve had a few new faces around lately.  We lost two good workers in the last two months due to relocation of one and schedule changes for the other.  We may lose another due to schooling.  This presents a challenge, but the Lord has always met our needs for this and all the ministries.  A former worker has been able to return and has been a big help.

CHILDREN’S HOME

We’ve filled out the last form regarding the donated land and await the final paper from the recorders office.  Meanwhile, we moved again.  Though all the kids like this rental house better than the last, it’s still a change and that along with starting school, has created some insecurities which surface in their behavior.  We are having to go through the adjustment stage again.   We hope we can stay at this house until we get a permanent home built but there is a good possibility we will have to move again in six months.

We are very pleased with the children’s growth in Christian education.  Most of them know all the books of the Bible and are learning how to find the books in the Bible.  They know several principles of prayer, the ten commandments, they are learning what characters are in the first five books of the Bible, teachings in Proverbs on wisdom and we’ve begun teaching them about the responsibilities of citizenship of God’s kingdom.

BACK TO THE STATES

We will be flying to California in late December for our son Colter’s wedding.  We will be doing some deputation but will be somewhat limited with our time schedule.  We will spend about 3 weeks on the West Coast then travel to the East coast and back again between Feb. and March, flying back to Romanian mid-March.  Because of the type of ministries we do, we cannot be gone for extended periods of time.
