Tamyra Crossley's
Romanian Report
January 2003
This last month has been a very busy one to say the least. With all the preparations
that go with trying to travel, comfort children, enjoy Christmas, labor to get
a crate released and prepare for an upcoming wedding my life has been somewhat
of a whirlwind.
I want to start by saying once again a huge Thanks to all of you who "made"
Christmas for our family. Vista Point in Hobbs, NM made a special point to
get a large offering to us before Christmas so that we would have extra for
the children and on Christmas eve Liviu and Florin pulled up in deep snow bearing
gifts labeled for our family from the crate that Landmark in Gould, Ak (and
all the associated churches in that area) sent. I wish with all my heart
you all could have been their to see for yourselves the joy on our children’s
faces. Our house was filled with joyful voices, huge smiles and enough paper
to fill a couple garbage bags! I have never seen such happy kids.
The day of departure was one of the hardest days of my life. Knowing the insecurity
the kids feel and the doubts that fill their little minds was heartbreaking.
I can’t tell you how many times I promised I would come back to them. While
they understand with their heads, their little hearts were struggling. With
children on both sides of the world it is impossible for me to fully have my
heart in one place anymore. Like never before I have to fully trust the Lord
to give a peace that only He can give. He has done just that and we have had
reports that the children are doing well (were very proud of you Alex, Olga,
Atti, Nicko, Costi, Deni, Bo and Anca).
Arriving at the airport to our son’s smiling face and his sweet bride to be
standing beside him was one of those moments you freeze-frame in your mind.
It was a first meeting for us and Breanne and she was a bit nervous. She had
no reason to be. Breanne is such a sweetheart and we are extremely thrilled
with our new daughter. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and filled with
happy tears. I kept telling Brian I was going to try not to cry (yeah right!).
I didn’t even make it through the rehearsal J Brian kept shaking
his head and teasing me saying there in jeans and you’re a mess! It seems impossible
that our son could be married; the years have passed far to quickly. (Photo

We have enjoyed so much the churches we have already been able to visit. The
car we were supposed to take in not quite ready which gives me an extra week
with family and I am cherishing the moments. Pray for us as we travel, our
son and new daughter as they enjoy their honeymoon and our children back home
in Romania.
We love you all,
Tamyra
