PROJECT: ROMANIA
BRIAN CROSSLEY
March 2003

ME AND MY HOUSE

Our return flight home was problem free.  Every thing we brought back sailed smoothly though customs with no problems.  We weren’t even sure if we would have a vehicle available to take us and our luggage home, but Florinwas waiting for us with a van and driver.  We arrived home at about 2:30 AMMonday morning.  Unfortunately the bridge was iced over and we had to pack the luggage in the last couple hundred yards though the snow.  It was a great family reunion though and it’s good to be home.

We are very sorry to have to say that we had to require Alex to leave.  In our absence he behaved in a manner which we simply could not excuse and left us no choice but to require his moving out.  He has a job and a room in Brasov.

The rest of the family is doing very well.  Some of the younger kids regressed a little while we were gone, but for the most part are coming along fine.  Something about our separation and reunion seems to have pulled us all together to really start feeling like a true family.  These kids come with some serious emotional baggage, but we truly love them and feel blessed to have them in our family.

PRAY FOR US.....THAT WE MAY BE DELIVERED FROM UNREASONABLE AND WICKED MEN.....

There are some new passport requirements which are requiring even more running around than before.  Plus, were trying to get the taxes paid on the land (no simple matter here).  Meanwhile, were still working on our foundation. All of this is keeping me, Tamyra and Florin busy almost every day of every week running to and fro and standing in lines.  For the next few months most of our time will be spent moving paper.

...THINGS WHICH ARE DISPISED HATH GOD CHOSEN...

Full House and Little Flock are both doing well with good attendance.  High attendance at Full House is a challenge to deal with but we’re having some good lessons on baptism.  Though many were saved before we left, they exhibit the usual Romanian resistance to baptism.  Pray those saved will obey in baptism.   We were thrilled and blessed to finally be able to give out gifts, from the crate Jane Byers and the many churches that participated sent.  Thank you so much for caring for those society places no value in.  They were very happy to receive your gifts.

A TIME FOR EVERY PURPOSE

The time has come to step out a new direction in ministry.  We’ve begun a new work in which we hope to train a new church work as God develops it.  Right now, the Sunday meetings are mostly our family with just a few others.  We will meet in our house until we can find somewhere to meet in Brasov.  Florin, who has been with John Sanders, Landmark Association has decided to participate with this new work.  Florin has worked with me in almost every project I’ve worked on in the Landmark Association, including the Children’s Home and he’s become a third arm as well as a second set of legs to me in almost everything I do.  He may be leaving for college in the fall, but till he does, he will be as much an asset to this new work as he has been in all the ministries we’ve worked on together.

Our first Sunday meeting, Nico was saved.  Though she made a profession of faith a year ago, she never followed with baptism and never really seamed totally settled about it.  She and Lassyn both want to be baptized.  Though this new work is mostly our family right now, its small size is allowing for some good training sessions.  We are really emphasizing in our studies, to rely on the Bible to discover God’s plan and purpose and in making church decisions (John 17:17).  I am confident they will make dedicated church workers as they mature.

Please pray for government approval of our foundation so we can proceed in this new labor.

We are in a state of transition in several ministries and would appreciate all your prayers that God will guide us exactly where He intends us to be.
