PROJECT: ROMANIA
BRIAN CROSSLEY
May 2003

"But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you."  I Peter 5:10

We have a long process ahead to get settled; establishing contracts with utilities, government offices, school, etc., not to mention trying to make the house suitable to meet our needs and satisfy the expectations of child protection.  I dread the whole process.  But when I drive down the road passing cows, chickens, horse drawn wagons to arrive home to kids from all over the village playing with our kids, I feel like I’ve really found home.  We and the kids love it here.

The village kids who attended "Little Flock" have not been seen in Brasov for weeks.  We finally bumped into a few who told us they are trying to catch up on the entire years schooling so we suspended the meetings until school is out.

Full House has been going well but we’ve missed Tamyra being at the meetings.  We’ve recently hire someone to stay with the kids, during the meeting times, so that she can come again.

The combined challenges of finding a home, transporting the family, a new church work, trying to set up a foundation, etc., etc, are so complicated in this country that we’ve had to just trust God to work it all our for the best.  Most of the decisions we make are simply the only option available under the circumstances.  The frustrations cannot be described, but I am seeing indication of God’s providential hand.

There is no Baptist church in Una Mai and so far we’ve been well received.  At our first service in this village we had 5 visitors.  Our second we had 14.  Though mostly kids we’ve had a few young adults and one grandmother said she wants to visit.

Please pray God will direct us in this and all our ministries here and that He will bless this work with sincere workers who can be trained to fulfill God’s purpose in this and other villages and cities.  This month one person was saved and 3 baptized.

With Grace Unearned,
Brian Crossley
