Titus 2 Men And Women

PROJECT: ROMANIA
BRIAN CROSSLEY
August 2003 Report

We’ve just returned from the East European Missionary Retreat and what a true blessing it was to the whole family. The evening and morning messages offered consolation, encouragement and a very special time of worship.  The mid-day breaks allowed for some desperately needed time for our family to just enjoy being together.  We want to thank whoever it was who generously provided the funds for us to attend the conference.

Homeless and Street kids:  Casa Plina has been doing well and we’ve been informed we will be receiving a special offering from the Angie Low fund.  This will help us get some equipment and supplies we’ve needed for a long time but just haven’t had the funds for.  Due to lack of attendance by the village street kids, we’ve decided to discontinue Mica Turma.

Una Mai:  We’re extremely pleased with the progress of the church in Una Mai.  We’ve begun having mid-week meetings which are focused on equipping them for Christian service.  Most of these kids were totally unfamiliar with the Bible but now several can quote the books of the Old Testament in order.  They’ve been very responsive to the lessons and are learning the basics well.  On Sundays we’ve completed a series on creation orientation, kingdom orientation and are beginning the third series on church orientation.  Two have requested baptism.

Children’s Home:  We’ve been extremely busy trying to get the house to the point it’s comfortable and can handle this many people.  The work has been slow but it is progressing.  We hope by the end of September to have a realistic waste water system.  Much of the electric has been upgraded but we still have a lot to do there.  Fall came early this year and caught us without a heating system.  We hope to have one within the next month or so and a more effective hot water system.

With grace unearned,
Brian Crossley
