BIBLE COLLEGE CONCLUDES

April 20th was the last day of Bible College. It's hard to believe the school year has already come and gone. This was the first year of teaching for me and I enjoyed it very much. I've begun to lay out the courses I will be teaching next year and I'm looking forward to the new school year and new students.

EVANGELISM TEAM

We have located a place to hold our first evangelism campaign in Harman. Now we have to draw up a rental contract. The process has been very slow but we're getting closer to a meeting date. I'm hoping to hold our campaign in June. We hope this will be the first of many evangelism meetings in the villages surrounding Brasov. A meeting is scheduled with key members of the team to discuss the details of our first campaign and also to seek ways to speed up the process of selecting a village, contacting the mayor and finding a meeting place. As mentioned in previous reports this first campaign will be a learning experience and we hope to develop an efficient plan to spread the gospel.

FULL HOUSE (Casa Plina)

The number of people attending who live in the sewers has increased to 15-20. With this new group the ministry is in a state of transition. These new visitors are generally much better behaved then the village kids and seem more open to personal relationships. Yet, for some reason they seem especially resistant to the gospel. I've discussed salvation personally with a couple of them. They acknowledge their need of salvation and even say they believe the message. Yet, they are very reluctant to make a personal decision to ask Jesus for the salvation He offers. Our last meeting in April one of the underground kids (I don't know what else to call them) accepted Christ as his savior. His name is Soreen and I feel very confident his profession is genuine. Please pray for him as it will be very difficult for him to live for Christ in his environment. Please pray for all these outcast kids.

OUR HOUSE

The new three are just now showing signs of accepting our authority and are beginning to obey the rules. I've had much more opportunity to learn and use Romanian with the kids in our house. This has helped much to learn the language and I've been trying to teach our family lessons in Romanian. I finally taught my first lesson without a translator at Full House. We have to try and find a new place to live and it needs to be big enough to take in more kids. This will be difficult to find but we're still praying the Lord will compel some Romanian to donate a home.

Costi, one of our new three has accepted Christ as his savior and is talking about baptism. Nico has not yet made a decision but has been asking alot of questions about how to be saved. We are praying and hope to see her saved soon. (As of the writing of this report, Nico has been saved!) Praise GOD!

Prayer Tip:

  1. Ask (James 4:2)
  2. Ask for the right things (James 4:3)
  3. Be specific (Matt. 7:9-11)
