This type of scam is tailored for an individual family name. Where you see <LAST NAME> will change based on who receives the email. If you received this type of email, your last name would be there. Dear <LAST NAME>, Compliments of the season, I do not know you but I decided to contact you seeking whether you can be of immediate assistance,so do not feel bad receiving my mail. I am Miss Stella Harrison, the fiance to the late r.Billy.J.<LAST NAME>,who lost his life in a ghastly road accident on 14th November,2004. My fiance was a contractor in Nigeria and he was in the process of being paid the contract sum of $11. million by the Central Bank of Nigeria before he lost his life and I am not in a position to lay claim to the fund because we were not legally married as at the time of his death. The problem now is that his attorney and the executor of his will has been served a notice that the Central Bank will confiscate the funds if he fails to provide next-of-kin to my late fiance within the next 2 months,a situation which will be most unfortunate because I know how my late fiance suffered to get the funds released to him only for him to die just when he was about to reap the fruits of his labour. We seek your consent to be presented as his next-of-kin so that the funds can be released to you.Everything will be handled legally by his attorney Barr.Frank James to avoid any breach to his law.We have also decided that the sharing modality for the fund shall be 30% for each of us while the remaining 10% will be set aside for any expences incurred in the course of the transaction. I will be looking forward to your indication of interest so that we can proceed with the process of claiming the funds with the information below, 1,YOUR FULL NAME AND ADDRESS Yours sincerely, Please note: Readers of these scams, should assume the names mentioned in the emails are ficticious and if they do correspond to a "real" individual, assume the emails did not originate from that individual. If one of our visitors feel the use of a name in one of these scams could point to an individual, such as a prominent figure in Africa, or a company please contact us using our Contact Page. In your message to us, please state how you believe the "real" person could be mistaken to have sent the scam. This should include web pages (and NOT just a link to a website) supporting the information you provide. |
