This type of scam is tailored for an individual family name. Where you see <LAST NAME> will change based on who receives the email. If you received this type of email, your last name would be there. Hello <LAST NAME>, My name is Terence an attorney at law, and was the attorney of the late (M.<LAST NAME>).My client and his family were involved in a ghastly motor accident on their way to the airport going for their holidays. Now I have found out that my late client left a huge sum of funds in a finance Company,I have contacted you to inform you that until now I have been unable to find and produce a relative to my deceased client, who would lay claim to his funds that he left behind. The Finance Company where these funds are kept have called on me to present to them a relative that the funds would be released to, as the next of kin to my deceased client. Then again,I contacted you because of the fact that you have the same last name with my late client.I am not imposing this on you, because I will always find someone that will help me realize these funds that my client left behind.I am asking for your assistance and sincere honesty.Once I cannot come up with a relative or beneficiary, the Finance company will close his account and have the funds paid into it’s treasury, and the funds would be marked as ‘UNCLAIMED’. All the necessary information that you will need to know,I will provide to you once I hear from you. It would be important to know that I have been given me a scheduled time when they would go ahead to effect their plans on such accounts that have been marked.I will need to know your interests in helping me and I would also need your sincere honesty that you are a GOINS and can prove it when demanded. Please get back to me with your interests stated as well as your phone and fax numbers so we can discuss better about the situation. Thank you in advance for your consideration to assist me. Best Regards, BARRISTER TERENCE... Please note: Readers of these scams, should assume the names mentioned in the emails are ficticious and if they do correspond to a "real" individual, assume the emails did not originate from that individual. If one of our visitors feel the use of a name in one of these scams could point to an individual, such as a prominent figure in Africa, or a company please contact us using our Contact Page. In your message to us, please state how you believe the "real" person could be mistaken to have sent the scam. This should include web pages (and NOT just a link to a website) supporting the information you provide. |
