God has been working in my life in a very unusual way. I never considered myself as anything more then a vessel. He has changed the use of my vessel. In January the Lord told me I should teach a ladies Bible study at church. I said, "I'm too busy." God replied: "I'm in control of all your time." I said: "I like me the way I am. I'm comfortable being me!" God said: "You'll be better if you let me change you." In February I yielded to the Lord and began to teach a ladies Sunday School class. Some ladies had specifically ask for a class on praying for their husbands. We decided to use Stormie O'Martian's book 'The Power of a Praying Wife' as a quarterly. As you know, things are never quite the way we imagine they will be. I assumed this would be a class of young married ladies and ladies with unsaved husbands. How wrong I was! I have about 15 ladies in my class from 25 to 67 yrs old. Women with un-saved husbands to the Pastor's wife. Then before the first class, the Lord and I had another couple of I quit fighting and did it God's way. The ladies needed to know about me so they would know there is nothing that we can't discuss. They come to me in private with their questions and hurts, then I address the topics in class. We have two more lessons to go on praying for our husbands and then we will begin another study. I have been amazed by this class in other ways also. All of the ladies have gotten extra copies of Stormies book and given them to other ladies. People who aren't in the class have come up and thanked me for teaching the class. One of my ladies has been sending the take home sheets that I do to her daughter and daughter-in-law. Her daughter teaches a Bible study in a Presbyterian church and has asked for copies of my notes to use as a resource. Fred's cousin's wife has asked for my notes to use as a resource in a Bible study in a Lutheran church in Sheboygan. Two ladies that we met in Texas at an antique show have asked for copies of the tapes for their own use. As an outgrowth of this Sunday School class, Pastor has asked me to be a prayer team leader. We have prayed about the need and the Lord has given us a team of 14 people that are committed to praying on Sunday morning during the preaching service. Three members of the team quietly adjourn to another room at the end of the song service and pray until the service is over. We are expecting great and mighty things from God.
