God loves you with an everlasting love, Jer. 31:3b, "Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love, therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee." II Peter 3:9 states: "The Lord is not slack concerning His promises, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” How can you get this Love that God has to offer, so that you will not perish?
You must believe that the Bible is the Word of God. II Peter 1:16, "For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty" and also verses 20 and 21, "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation 21. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost"
You must acknowledge that you are a sinner, Romans 3:10: "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one" and in Romans 3:23: "For ALL have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.." If you're wondering where sin came from the Bible says in Romans 5:12 "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon ALL men, for that all have sinned". And I am here to tell you friend, that PRAISE THE LORD, the story does not end there. In Romans 6:23, the Bible says, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." God's love is our gift.......we cannot earn it or work for it, we simply need to reach out and take it. In Romans 10:9-13, the Bible says, For with "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For WHOSOEVER shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Friend, WHOSOEVER means you!
If you will trust Jesus and only Jesus to take you to heaven when you die, just pray this prayer , or something like it in your own words....
Dear Lord Jesus, I come to you in prayer asking for your forgiveness. I admit I am a sinner and in need of You and Your merciful forgiveness. Lord, please forgive me. Jesus, I believe You shed Your blood for the forgiveness of my sins, died and was buried. I believe on the third day You resurrected from the dead, are now alive in Heaven hearing my prayer that I might have Eternal Life. I repent of my sins and invite You right now to come in to my life and be my personal Lord and Saviour. In Jesus Name, Amen. If you prayed and accepted Jesus Christ as your Saviour, because God’s Word is truth, please confess to God and others that you are now a born again Christian cleansed by the Blood of Jesus!
It is important to begin to read God's Word daily. God will talk to you through His Word. Then, pray. Talk to God. You need not be concerned about the Thee's and Thou's, just speak to Him as you would a Friend. Learn to turn to God's Word for comfort, even when it doesn't seem comforting....those words will come back to you at some of the most unexpected and needed times.
